It is hot and dry and if this continues I will up my rating to severely dry next week. There is a red flag warning & county-wide burn ban in effect, along with numerous forest fires actively burning. Somehow we have been spared the smoke so far. Up in the high mountains the once moist meadows are crispy dry and lake levels receding. River flows are about half of normal.
