Since last reported on 06/30/2025, recorded 0.01" on 11 July and 0.24" on 12 July. Topsoil sample taken this evening indicates dry soil down to the 3.0" level. Grass has responded from the recent precipitation with greener color, but less in growth. Birds have been very active. One particular Black-billed magpie has been loud and obnoxious with continuous loud cackling. It appears to be a territorial tactic. Lots of rabbits around. The wildflower blossoms have gone beyond their peak color. Returning home in our airplane today we observed a wildfire that was in the Sedalia, Colorado area. With recent precipitation, I will maintain a Condition Scale of Mildly Dry.
