Notes: |
Very intense thunderstorm with lots of positive lightning developed overhead. Very close strikes - thunder heard before flash ended. while there were some periods of heavy rain after 4:40 PM., it stopped and started until the lightning barrage. Noted a white "hail core" just to my NW on radar. Moved overhead at 4:55 PM. Have not seen much hail here in Florida and this was among the largest. Impacting all over the screened lanai, which slowed the fall enough to estimate size. Did my Skywarn duty with the NWS office in Ruskin and reported it. |
