I was not at home but arrived home at 4:30. I could tell there was some hail because there were whole leaves down and torn leaves - it was sparse because you couldn't tell by looking at the trees. I thought all the hail had melted and then I saw some against the north-west wall of the house on the back side of the house and along the north-south wooden fence that runs north from the garage. I'm not sure if the reason we didn't see hail along other parts of the yard was because the fence is chain-link/wire. I don't know what the depth of the hail was in the open yard. The sitter mentioned that it was mostly small with a few that were as big as a marble. That fits in with what we saw at work (CIRA), but the house probably got less hail ( a little further to the north). There was water up against the windows that cam in through the screens - indicating stronger winds. |
