Notes: |
47 mph winds. Hailed solidly with rain falling at the same time except for about 1/2 minute about in the middle of the 50 minute storm (we spent it trapped in and watching from the goat shed listening to it on the metal roof), then rain continued but the hail subsided. Our 1000 hyacinths we planted last fall, just beginning to bloom -- many of which the stems were shredded. broken tree branches. hail pad nearly solidly dented. ground nearly white with average dime sized hail. Wind still blowing very hard. Weather station indicates .53 of moisture while the rain gauge shows .42 inches of moisture. Calf/goat hut was picked up by the wind, jumped the fence, and landed in next paddock. Wind was primarily out of southeast/south. |
