Notes: |
Most of my reported precip fell during a severe storm that lasted from about 4:30 to about 5:00 pm at my house. During that half hour, 0.92" fell as liquid, another 0.54" was from melted hail that accumulated in the funnel of the rain gauge. The remaining 0.22" fell overnight. The hail on the groujnd ranged from 0.5" to 0.75" in diameter and covered the ground, with drifting to several inches in places. The east side of most small leafed trees (e.g., honey locusts) were stripped of leaves. Drifts of hail remain this morning. |
