Notes: |
0.57 Inches of rain from a strong thunderstorm fell between 1904 MDT and 1925 MDT. Hail began at 1905 MDT and ended at 1919 MDT.
The average hail size was 3/8ths of an inch-a mixture of clear and white ice.
The largest hailstones were the size of grapes.
Some of the largest hailstones snapped off the arrowhead off the wind vane on my automatic weather station, and gave false readings from the tipping bucket rain gauge. |
