One loud thunder boom occurred just before hail commenced, which began falling at an approx. 45 deg. angle from the south. Hail eventually covered the ground, but had melted on hard surfaces, by the time it changed to rain 5-7 minutes later. There followed two more distant thunder booms during the rainfall about 10 minutes after hail began. Sky was overcast. |
