Notes: |
A difficult sequence to describe. The hail and rain started very slowly at 3:50 PM. Big drops very far apart and stayed that way until about 4:00 PM when it reached a lull. At 4:05 PM the hail rain mixture picked up again and slowly peaked at about 4:08 when the downfall was mostly hail, creating a little bit of a roar in the neighborhood. The hail then comes and goes over the next 15 minutes with the rain being relatively constant. The last hailstone was observed at 4:23 PM, by 4:40 PM the rain had stopped. Over the 50 minute observation a little over 0.10 inches of precipitation was collected in the rain gauge. |
