Notes: |
Black clouds rolled in begining at 3:10pm. Heard thunder at 3:20pm, and sky was covered in dark clouds. Rain started 3:32pm. Hail was added to rain at 3:40pm. It was 55 degrees. Some minor leaf damage and torrents of water running, and big splashes in puddles, approx. 8-10" high, and some hail bouncing 8" off ground. On the North side of my house was the heaviest accumulation, which almost covered the entire front and back deck; while the south side, you could see approx. 3" betw. pieces of hail. It never piled on top of itself; just one layer. Hail stopped at 3:55pm, but did not melt immmediately. There was no slush; just the biggest 1/4" pieces remained in tact for approx. 45 min to an hour. Water collected was .38. The rain stopped approx. an hour after the hail had stopped. The total precipitation was .46". |
