Notes: |
Several examples of tennis ball sized hail with three or four in every yard. We saved one that spanned over 3 inches after 15 minutes of melting. The air temp stayed very warm and windy with sunshine present throughout most of the storm. Hail could be seen falling for several seconds due to abundant sunshine. One person was injured from a large stone that hit him in the sholder. Many cars received extensive damage from trying to out run the storm which contributed to the intensity of the impacts. Large hail seemed to be made up of smaller stones for the most part. Photos are available. |
