Severe thunderstorm whipped through from 6:15 to 6:40 pm with intense winds, brief torrential downpours, almost continuous lightning and hail up to 1/2" diameter that remained on the ground for 20 minutes. 0.39" rain measured, trees blown down all over the place with widespread power outages. Wind was clocked at 52 mph at the Johnstown Airport and was likely higher in places. |
