I have never actually seen hail before, nor was I outside while it was falling, so my measurements may not be very accurate.
As a thunderstorm rolled in, the wind quickly picked up when the hail and lightning started. The hail gradually got smaller until it stopped completely. Heavy rain began immediately afterward. I saw some of the ice collecting on vehicles, but the rain melted it quickly. |
