Notes: |
Hail is rare here in the low country of SC. And usually small and brief. But this started with several seconds spaced loud bangs on our tin roof.. we didn't know what it was and then the impacts got closer together but not so loud but still impressive. And then we looked out and it was really coming down.. about two-three minutes and it let up almost completely. But then it came back harder and with bigger hailstones. Very hard white ice. It lasted longer. It began at 2:43 PM and lasted about 8 minutes total. Over at 2:51 PM. I haven't been out to see it if damaged our solar panels. All our vehicles were under shelters. |
