Notes: |
Hail and rain began abruptly at 10:07 AM. I did not observe the hail or hail indentations until 8:00 AM on July 9. This is a perfect example of a situation when I don't know if larger indentations (splats) up to grape size or more are from soft hail or rain. I WOULD LIKE THE TECHNICIAN WHO EXAMINES THE HAIL PAD TO EMAIL ME at (geoperegrino@gmail.com), John Cady, CO-JF-267, phone 303-277-1843 to clarify for me what is soft hail and what is heavy rain. I have troubled over this question ever since I began maintaining a rain gauge. |
