Notes: |
No hail pad, sorry. Hail widely spaced in lawn/garden areas, 1-3" apart (estim close to house). Could see some hail causing a splash in an open outer cylinder, but could not see any hail bouncing out of funnel (to naked eye from 15'). Last hail, there was significantly more water in outer than inner cylinder with 1/2" of hail on ground. Just took reading as raining still falling lightly but major effects and hail seem over. Now inner cylinder had 0.33" and open outer had 0.34" BUT the drops on the much larger sidewalls of the outer cylinder are hard to get, even shaking first and then rotating cylinder as I pour. Will try spatula next time. |
