Notes: |
The larger hail has a solid white core. Some of the larger hail was hat shaped, with a smooth bottom and the top consisting of many small bumps or growths the size of bee bees. Very pretty.
I was driving south on Federal from Hamden and could see the hail colored clouds. There was also a significant updraft on the leading edge of the cloud (east Side). You could see lower clouds being sucked int the larger cloud. Very interesting. The large main cloud was flat on the bottom. |
