The consistency of the hydrometeors was somewhere between hail and graupel. Indeed, some of what fell was likely well within the graupel category while at times the stones were much more solid ice. Frozen precipitation was intermittent, mixing with rain at times and indeed changed to pure rain for a time. Fell from Cb clouds that were building as they passed overhead. Max size of stones was 6.3 mm–measured with digital caliper. No TS. No hail pad. |
