Several hailstones were collected a couple minutes after the event when the hail and rain diminished. Hail samples were saved in the freezer. Different shapes, some irregularly round and some with "spikes" around them. The largest collected from the yard was 2 inches in diameter. This event happened about 1/2 hour after the first one reported. |
