This was the third hail fall of the morning. The first from 7:25-7:32 am was mostly up to penny size with a few nickels. The second from 7:40-7:44 am was pea up to maybe dime. The third fall of hail was from 9:16-9:22 am, started as pea to dime, but for a minute or two around 9:20 am was considerably larger, averaging quarters with some bigger. Afterward I measured the largest on my lawn at 1.5". Hail was a mix of white and clear ice and the larger stones were very spiky. Only minor damage to leaves and garden plants. |
