Taken at registered location: True
Notes: This whole report is an estimate. I only ran out in very heavy rain (0.40" est in 20 min and continuing)to check downspout and noticed that there were rare hailstones, a bit less than pea-sized and milky at a quick look, bouncing in the grass. I was not alerted to onset (as I usually am) by sound on the acrylic patio roof, but the rain was very heavy and noisy. (However, I have heard hail through this much rain before when it was heavy and larger.) No pad, but in the grass, they looked to be a foot or so apart, but not clearly seen. Really only noticed them becuase they were bouncing. (njd -- changed report time from AM to PM)
