Did not have the advantage of a hail pad. Downspouts on the west side of the house left piles of hailstones roughly 12"high and 18-20" in diameter located about 2 feet out from the downspout - probably because of the rate of rain also coming down. An hour after the hail fell the grass was still covered and areas with piles took several hours to melt. Many samples collected were cloudy in the middle with clear outer layers. |
